Lighting for tomorrow launched its 2011 competition on january 20, 2011 with a focus on lighting control devices and solid state lighting (ssl) fixtures and replacement lamps. the 2011 competition continued to look at lighting control products including stand-alone, system-based, and whole house devices that are compatible with fluorescent or led technology. the 2011 ssl competition was also open to a broad range of residential lighting applications including a variety of fixture led types and replacement lamps. the deadline for submitting intent forms to enter the 2011 competition has passed. we will be announcing the 2012 competition in january. please contact eileen eaton for further assistance. 2011 competition winners announced! the winners of the 2011 lighting for tomorrow competition were announced and awards were presented at the american lighting association annual conference in palm beach, florida, september 13, 2011. the ninth annual lighting for tomorrow competition resulted in eight awards distributed for ssl fixtures, four awards for led replacement lamps, and two awards for the lighting controls competition. see the 2011 winners document or download brochures from the publications page to view profiles of all of the winning entries.
