Bradford international film festival competition – terms and conditions

the closing date for entries is 12 noon (british summer time) on friday 28 september 2012. this site will accept entries from friday 3 august.

2. eligibility
to be eligible for the 2013 competition, you must be a student on any year of an art or design course at hnd or degree level, an ma student or
have up to 3 years industry experience. there can be only one named entrant per entry.
3. designs
entrants may enter up to two designs. 4. submissions
all entries must be submitted by email or hard copy and will need to be received by the closing date of friday 28 september 2012. for the initial stage of the
competition, please supply us with a downscaled version of your artwork (max 10mb in size for email). if your submission is shortlisted, you will be then
required to submit your artwork at high resolution (suitable for print and large graphics). entries should be of sufficient quality to be judged and may
include a brief description to explain the approach.

museum group, their families, agents and anyone else connected with this competition.
3. no responsibility can be accepted for incorrectly uploaded entries. entries via agents or third parties are invalid.
4. all correctly completed entries will be forwarded to a judging panel made up of the bradford international film festival team, the
national media museum design studio and guest judges who will select a shortlist. 5. the shortlisted entrants will be notified in writing by friday 5 october 2012 and invited to resubmit their entry following feedback and
further art direction from the national media museum design studio. the closing date for the shortlisted entrants' resubmissions is 19
october 2012.
6. shortlisted entrants will be required to provide the following submissions for each design entry: a) an a3 board showing the full design to scale 1:1.
b) a short, typewritten text (max. 50—100 words only) submitted as a word document, explaining the concept for your design.
c) an a3 board demonstrating the development of the thought process from the original research to the final concept.
d) a high resolution pdf and jpeg of the front cover only and full cover design without trim marks on cd.
e) the sender must prepay all shipping costs, insurance, customs duties and handling fees for all entries.
7. entries will not be returned to entrants and the national media museum accepts no responsibility for the loss of or damage to any portfolios or other cases in which shortlisted entrants send their resubmissions.
8. the winning designs will be the ones which, in the opinion of the judges, best fulfil the brief. the winner of the bradford international
film festival ident competition will receive a cash prize of £500. 9. the winners will be announced in october 2012.
10. the decision of the judges is final and correspondence will be entered into only at the absolute discretion of bradford international film
festival. 11. the winners agree to take part in reasonable publicity and agree to the use of their names and photographs in such publicity.
12. all entrants hereby license the national media museum the use of their entry for display on any national media museum website and
for display in a physical format. appropriate credits will be given to each item displayed. 13. each entrant warrants to the national media museum that his/her entry is original, and made without the inclusion of material owned by any third party without their permission.
14. the national media museum will use any data submitted by entrants only for the purposes of running the competition, unless otherwise
stated in the entry details. by entering this competition, all entrants consent to the use of their personal data by the national media
museum for the purposes of the administration of this competition and any other purposes to which the entrant has consented.
